Stock Simulator

I have found a Online Stock Simulator that anyone interested in investing but is still unsure about risking their money.  It will give you a chance to try out ideas and strategies and to compare them with each other,Investolopedia Simulator.  I will be using this to learn about options as i have just the faintest idea of how they work. I just created a private group Here, or search for the game name of The Common Man Blog.

  4. well it works off the market so you can still do limit orders and stops.

    Im currently buying a few stocks i was considering a few weeks ago and im kicking my self a bit as 2 of them had a nive run 5% and 4% yesterday :(.

    lol, i can just see myself getting super cocky after playing with this, then investing every thing i have, then gaining a considerable amount, THEN losing it all. : |

  8. the homework envolved can put a few people off of doing it in a simulation but its key in finding out if the company is worth it. Figure out a sector you like say technology stocks and a sub sector such as say wireless providers. Next i compare some of the larger cap stocks with each other comparing their P/E ratios, their Forward P/E which uses their projected earnings next year and compares with current price. Also whether or not the company offers a dividend, which i personally like having. find one you like and check out some news on it or look up some of the financial documents and verify if the company is healthy.

    Next post will be a list of websites i use for finding my stocks or simply monitoring them.
